Eye Of The Storm

Still,
in the corner
I curl
tight,
small,
unmoving
as the storm
whirs
and whips
my untucked feet.
My deaf ears,
closed to the winds.
My fists
clenched to fight
you who come close.

Still,
in the corner,
I curl
small
and
smaller
and
smaller
still.

    Love to you
    Gail
    peace.....

Annie says "hi" and that she was so small for so long, buried even. Like dead. Not any more though, not for a long time. :-)

  4. Thank you so much.
Sorry I've been slack replying and being here lately.
It still feels quite difficult to be honest.

Gail - Thank you... I could say so much more bt I won't... And Annie? Yes. I understand how she was "like dead". I'm glad she is not there anymore. Please give her my love. x

Lily Thank you so much for your kind words. I was so touched by them and understand the feeling of relief when you read about others' similar experiences.
Thank you for sharing the corner. x

Vicki - Thank you for listening. Interesting that you say it is real because I struggle so much to believe things are real sometimes. Thank you for telling me. x

  5. Oh yes, these storms are real. Sometimes I feel like I am just in the eye of the hurricane, awaiting more to come... hear you, see you.
